Q: I'm not sure my application submitted. Did ODOT receive it?

A: 

When you apply on-line for a job through ODOT SOLAR, and enter an email address in the application form, you should receive an immediate email confirmation from ODOT stating that your application has been received.  If you do not receive the email confirmation, do the following three things in sequence: 

 
 
Reapply on SOLAR making sure throughout the process the web address has "s" after the http (i.e. https://www.odotjobs.com)

Q: When and how do I report a problem I'm having with SOLAR?

A: 

After you have consulted the FAQs, if you have not found a solution to the problem, you may either send a message through the Contact Us page in SOLAR, or call the phone number on the job announcement (503) 986-3700 or TTY (503) 986-3854.
 
You can help by providing the following information:
1) Where were you in SOLAR when the problem occurred? (specific form, page, field, job announcement)

2) What were you doing (trying to do) when the problem occurred? (your specific actions)

3) When did the problem occur?

4) What happened (or did not happen)? What did the error message say? (If it was a numbered error message, what was the number?)

Q: How do I stop pop-up blockers and get my form to submit?

A: 

Instantly Bypass any Pop-up Blocker on an Individual Basis

  • Press the control key while clicking on the pop-up action button (i.e. the "Next" or "Submit" button).
  • This will solve your pop-up blocker problems on SOLAR or anywhere else on the internet.
